D’TechLawGuide is a pioneering non-governmental organization committed to addressing the legal hurdles faced by African startups in the Tech industry and advancing education in Tech Law. As the first organization of its kind in Nigeria, we offer pro bono legal due diligence services to early-stage tech startups, supporting them in areas such as intellectual property (IP), data protection compliance, and investment strategies.

Bashirat Atata

Founder

Bashirat Atata, a Nigerian legal professional, is currently pursuing her Master of Law at the University of California Berkeley School of Law, focusing on Law and Technology. As a recipient of the Africa Legal Impact Scholarship, an honor bestowed upon two outstanding Africans annually, she is acknowledged for her remarkable academic achievements and commitment to positively impacting the Law and technology landscape in Africa. With a strong background and interest in technology law, Bashirat aspires to contribute to the advancement of the African tech industry, exemplified by her establishment of D’TechLawGuide. She holds memberships in esteemed organizations such as the Nigerian Bar Association, Association of Privacy Lawyers in Africa, Africa Law and Tech Network, and Compliance Institute Nigeria.

Hakeemat Yetunde Ijaiya

Co-founder

Hakeemat Yetunde Ijaiya is a distinguished legal professional with a Master's degree in Corporate and Commercial Law from Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Indiana. As the co-founder of D'Tech Law Guide, she demonstrates a profound commitment to data privacy and compliance, holding the esteemed CIPP/US certification. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, American Bar Association, International Association of Privacy Professionals, and the Association of Privacy Lawyers in Africa, Hakeemat is dedicated to providing expert guidance to corporate entities navigating intricate data privacy regulations within the ever-evolving field of technology law.
